i cannot describe the immense hatred i have towards carolina, one i have always had and will always have

thankful

no its not thanksgiving yet, but its thanksgiving break…so close enough.

1.) I am thankful for my family. as much as it seemed like they got on my nerves in high school, i do occasionally miss them. weird as it sounds i think college actually brought me and my mom closer together, we never had a horrible relationship by any means but it wasn’t always the best. i realize now she has always had my best interests in mind even when i thought she was a crazy bitch. i commend her for putting up with my hard headedness, one thing i would never want to do. i realize now how much crap i gave my parents and i feel horrible about it. she always puts us, her family first instead of herself. she is the best mom i know. my dad always equals things out. he’s laid back, funny and a hardworking guy. i can share funny stores with him and i always love to hear his. he works hard and gives us everything we need and more. i feel like me and my dad are a lot alike and i don’t mean to sound super creepster but i hope i can marry a guy as great as him. henry… where do i start? sibling rivalry started on August 9th 1994, the day he was born. henry, as much as i hate to say it let me repeat AS MUCH AS I HATE TO SAY IT, is the perfect child. he plays three sports, makes straight A’s, is popular with people and a gentleman. we never really got along okay until senior year, but I’m glad we finally do :) and little lillie, who i hated. i am so thankful for my little precious beautiful baby sister. i hate the fact that I’m in college and miss some of her “growing up”. i love every time i see her because she runs up to me and gives me a hug with her little arms and tells me she misses me. she always tells my mom when I’m away “we need to go get hannah from school.” i am so glad i have the little sister i always wanted.

2) tricks, my beautiful friends. i love the fact that we are all so different, but we mesh together so perfectly. i miss yall so much now that we are in college. i miss our stupid adventures that made high school so great. no matter what we were doing ( and we did a lot of dumb stuff) it was always a blast. a lot of other girls i have talked to didn’t have “good” friends in high school which really shocked me, we are truly lucky :) when I’m bored i go and look at all of my pictures and with yall our pictures are truly worth a thousand words. alicia, you are funny (im glad i could share my vulgar horrible sense of humor with you) and so driven I’m glad we finally became friends after hating each other, i feel like i can always be myself around you. caroline, you are hardheaded…maybe even more hardheaded than me :o i love how you set goals for yourself and you never settle for less. jessica, you are smart (?) thanks for proofreading my horrible English papers…when i write them more than 2hrs. before they are due. i always look forward to your newspaper articles. i know you will go far in life. lea anna, you are beautiful, smart, talented, witty and the list goes on. you have so much going for you and i wish i was as driven and well rounded as you. you give the best advice and have a good head on your shoulders. meredith, i regret the fact that i let your dumb boyfriend kinda get in the way of our relationship, i miss you & i wish our senior year could have been better, but i love all the great times we have had together. i am glad you are enjoying Carolina, where you have always have wanted to be :) sarah yopp, you are one of the kindest… well probably the kindest person i know. you love unconditionally and i admire that. you are so beautiful inside and out. you give the best advice, and some of the best comic relief.

3)pricks, i love yall as well. you are the best guy friends i have ever had, yall are like the big brother i always wanted. i love our trick prick rivalry (even though the tricks know we are the best) i love our movie excursions, which usually ended up with ditching someone. i couldn’t think of a better group to go to sunni skies with… or get stuck in the mud with. since all of yall are pretty much at Carolina (BOOO, go zack!) i am expecting you all to be doctors, haha. thanks for all the great times :)

4)college, has made me more thankful for what i have, great family and great friends. even though Ive really fucked up my first semester grade wise (i think, maybe not, due to the ol’ half assing it like i was used to in high school)… I’ve made a lot of good friends, from sorority sisters, to 8th floor friends and dance partners, i have really loved getting to know the diverse people i now call my friends. i love the fact that even though i go to a school with 30,000+ people, i literally always run into a familiar face! college lets you pursue things you are really interested in, my first day in my intro to sports management class, i teared up, i knew that this was the place i wanted to be. the first football game i cried at the beginning as well, hearing the nc state fight song i have heard many of times. followed by many teary moments from the close loss. you can learn a lot from college, in and out of the classroom. in college you meet new friends and keep the old! i am so excited to see what is in store!

5)home, no matter how long you’ve been away, home always feels the same.
